My Creative Work
Katherine Abdelkerim Los Angeles Therapist
I’m an inclusive licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) based in Los Angeles, as well as a community builder and business development consultant in behavioral health. I create spaces that support healing, meaningful connection, and professional growth.
For over a decade, I’ve worked in mental health, supporting individuals navigating high-functioning anxiety, trauma, burnout, identity shifts, and life transitions. As a trauma-informed therapist, I integrate psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodynamic, and mind-body approaches to support lasting, meaningful change. My approach is relational, direct, and grounded in depth. Being multiracial, I also ensure that my approach is culturally attuned.
In addition to my clinical work, I specialize in behavioral health outreach, therapist networking, marketing, and referral network development, helping clinicians and organizations build strong, aligned partnerships that lead to more consistent, high-quality referrals.
My work sits at the intersection of clinical care and professional connection, bringing together therapists, wellness professionals, and organizations to create collaborative environments where both providers and clients can thrive.
I’m also a visual artist creating nature-inspired mixed media work exploring vulnerability and resilience, and the author of The Ultimate Life Skills Guide for Teens, designed to help young people build confidence, emotional awareness, and real-world coping skills.
I am the founder of Holding the Holder, a clinician wellness and networking community in Los Angeles offering events that support clinician wellbeing, meaningful professional connection, and sustainable referral networks.
