Somatic Work & Trauma-Informed Therapy

I integrate somatic therapy and trauma-informed approaches to support clients in healing from trauma, anxiety, and chronic stress. This work focuses on the connection between the mind and body, helping you understand how trauma and anxiety are held in your nervous system.

Using body-based techniques, nervous system regulation, and parts work, I help you build awareness of your internal experience, process emotions safely, and move through trauma without becoming overwhelmed.

This approach is especially helpful for individuals experiencing high-functioning anxiety, emotional overwhelm, burnout, or difficulty feeling grounded in their body.

Our work focuses on helping you feel more regulated, connected, and in control of your emotional responses, supporting long-term healing, resilience, and lasting change.

Brainspotting

I am trained in Brainspotting (Levels 1 and 2), a brain-based trauma therapy that helps people process trauma, anxiety, and emotional stress at a deeper level. Brainspotting is a mind-body therapy similar to EMDR, and it works by using specific eye positions to access areas of the brain where trauma and unprocessed experiences are stored.

Unlike traditional talk therapy, Brainspotting allows us to go beyond thinking and into the nervous system, where trauma, anxiety, and emotional patterns are often held. This can be especially helpful for individuals experiencing high-functioning anxiety, complex trauma, emotional overwhelm, or feeling stuck in patterns that are hard to change through insight alone.

During a Brainspotting session, we work together to identify a “brainspot” (an eye position linked to stored emotional experiences). From there, your brain and body begin to naturally process and release what has been held, at a pace that feels safe and manageable. You remain in control throughout the process, and the work is guided with care and attunement.

As trauma and emotional experiences are processed, many clients begin to notice shifts in anxiety, emotional reactivity, relationships, and self-perception. Patterns that once felt stuck can start to soften, creating space for greater clarity, self-trust, emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of self.

I have seen firsthand how powerful Brainspotting can be in supporting trauma healing and nervous system regulation, and I have also experienced it personally as a client. This gives me a deeper understanding of the process and the meaningful, lasting changes it can support.
